What FanEye does. And what it doesn't.
Understand the product, the connection requirements and where your video goes.
Free to start · Optional in-app subscriptions for more phones.
Does FanEye automatically decide IN or OUT?
No. FanEye provides slow-motion, frame-by-frame and multi-angle replay for players or officials to review. It does not automatically detect the landing or make a line call.
Can I use just one iPhone?
Yes. Single-phone challenge replay is free long-term. One compatible iPhone can record, challenge and replay.
Is replay video uploaded to a server?
Not to FanEye cloud servers. Video stays on each phone by default. In Professional, selecting a camera on the dedicated controller sends its replay temporarily over the current LAN. Clips you actively save go to Photos.
Do participating cameras need to purchase or sign in?
No. Camera phones do not need to buy, sign in to an Apple account or create a FanEye account to participate. The host's plan determines what the room supports.
How do Free, Pro and Professional differ?
Free online rooms allow up to 2 phones. Pro is an annual subscription for online rooms with up to 6 phones. Professional is an annual subscription that includes Pro and adds 2–6 phones on the same stable LAN and a dedicated controller.
How many phones can join?
Up to 6 when the host has Pro or Professional. A dedicated controller does not record, so the number of phones is not necessarily the number of camera angles.
Where should I use Professional?
At a venue with a stable shared LAN, such as a club or training court. Test your actual network and camera positions before deciding on longer sessions.
Is Professional completely offline?
Local discovery, connection, control and requested camera replay transfer use the LAN. Purchases, restores and subscription checks may still require the internet and Apple services.
Will every camera angle be equally clear?
Not necessarily. Distance, lighting, obstruction, devices and connection conditions affect the viewing experience. Compare the footage retained by different cameras; a clear view is not guaranteed.
How do I report a problem?
Note the phone models, iOS and app versions, room mode, number of participants, network, time and reproduction steps. Contact support without passwords, verification codes or complete transaction credentials.
Can I save the replay to my album?
When you choose to save, a short slow-motion clip is saved to Photos, subject to Photos permission. It does not automatically save a full match.
Can the host pause every camera?
Yes, when all participating phones support the pause feature and remain connected. Update every participant and test the complete start, pause, resume and challenge loop before a match.
Replay is a reference, not an automatic verdict.
FanEye does not automatically detect the shuttle landing or decide IN or OUT. Players or officials review the footage. Device, lighting and network conditions matter.
